Grant of Entry Clearance Date.

Post by muditmalhotra » Wed Jul 18, 2012 9:59 am

Hi All

I have a question regarding the date "Grant of Entry Clearance".

My appointment with VFS for my first tier1 Application was on 23 march 2010. My Application was accepted on same day

On 20 April 2010 I received email from VFS saying that my passport has been dispatched to my home address

I received my passport on 21 April 2010 with Tier 1 stamped,

It was Valid from 20 April 2010.

So my question is now when I apply me extension, which date should i consider as my date of grant of entry clearance ? because there are different rules for those who have their Grant Of Entry Clearance before 06 April 2010 and different for those who have it after 06 April 2010.

Thanks

With regard to question D3 from the application form,
What date was the entry clearance or visa issued?

the answer is the date your entry clearance is valid from, ie., 20 April 2010.

However, for the question of which rules you fall under, you fall under rules in place before 6th April 2010 since you applied on 23rd March 2010.

Just submit a printout of the Point Based Summary, which asks a question such as date of 1st application, which in your case is 23rd March 2010.

Thats right, but PBS says that date on which the money was paid as on receipt. I dont have that 3 years old receipt with me now.

So, does this fall under my duties to prove what was the date of application ?
or am i good without the receipt ?
