Do I have to apply for ILR for my 2 1/2 year old child?

Post by cheekychick85 » Fri Jul 27, 2012 12:13 am

Hi,

Do I need to apply for an ILR for my 2 1/2 year old son born in the UK? My son was born in 2010 and has an Indian passport and Dependant of Tier 1 visa.

Can anyone let me know if its advisable not to apply for ILR for my son and register him as British soon after I get my ILR?

Also I am due to have a baby 3months before I apply for ILR, can I register the baby as British after I get my ILR and not apply for its ILR?

Thank you guys in advance.

Look forward to your inputs.

depends on where your first child was born..if he was born here you aregister him as a british citizen after you get your ILR..

you can apply for british citizenship for your daughter
