Surrender of Indian passport- URGENT

Hi Guys,

Can anyone URGENTLY help me and let me know what are normal processing time for issue of surrender certificate.

I know the embasy dont guarantee anything but what are the time lines like?


Is it faster do go via an agent?

Submit and collect in person at London VFS- turnaround is 5-7 days

Do not see how agent can speed up the process in anyway.

I submitted mine at Victoria on Friday (19/10) and ready for collection on Tuesday (23/10). Going today to collect it.

Mine took 10 days by postal application and I posted it late on a Saturday.
