Congrats .... Couple of queries -
1. How long your wife stayed out of uk?
2. Did CW asked queries about her stay?
3. Did you mention it anywhere? As SET (O) form doesn't ask this.

Thanks

Congrats sureshuvce! You mention Work Permit doc's above. Does this mean that your 5 year residence was made up of leave as a WP Holder & T1G Migrant?

A few additional questions on absences:

a) did you have any absences?
b) if so were they within the allowed new 180 day annual threshold?
c) were any absences, unpaid - i.e. during time periods where you were unemployed?
d) as you haven't listed an employer letter in your list of submitted items, I presume you did not submit one (as it is indeed not required according to the new rules); But did the case worker ask any questions in relation to your absences (that is, if you had any)?

Answers to some queries above

Combining all queries asked in the forum above and answering them below:

1. How long your wife stayed out of uk?
A> About 8 months. She was in UK for more than 2 years before she went away for maternity. Also I had attached baby's birth certificate and maternity docs (copy of MATB1 form)

2. Did CW asked queries about her stay?
A> No questions asked at all. They took the application and the docs and called me and gave back the docs and said ILR is approved.

3. Did you mention it anywhere? As SET (O) form doesn't ask this
A> Not mentioned. Since I went in-person, I didnt write any cover letter except table of absences

a) did you have any absences?
A> Yes, less than 180days

b) if so were they within the allowed new 180 day annual threshold?
A> They were less than 180days

c) were any absences, unpaid - i.e. during time periods where you were unemployed?
A> No. All were paid leaves

d) as you haven't listed an employer letter in your list of submitted items, I presume you did not submit one (as it is indeed not required according to the new rules); But did the case worker ask any questions in relation to your absences (that is, if you had any)?
A> No, I didnt submit any employer letter. I submitted all invoices for last 1 year
+ All P45s/ P60s for last 5 years and also "Statement of Employment" from HMRC for last 5 years

Note: For those who dont know, you can call HMRC and request for Stmt of Employment for all the years that you worked and paid tax in the UK
