Individual Voluntary Agreement (IVA)

Post by sayam04 » Fri Jan 25, 2013 6:52 pm

Hi moh30,

I read your thread posted on 6th March 2010 related to IVA. I am infact exactly in the same position as you were except i have not applied for the naturalisation yet but will be InshAllah on 25th Feb 2013.

Please let me know the out come of your application as i am so nervous and confused to mention it on the application or not?

Please have some comments, it will be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

sayam04

I have successfully acted for a number of clients who have gained British citizenship whilst they are in an IVA. Each application is viewed on its own merits, but the fact that you are doing your best to repay your creditors ought to be viewed as a positive contribution to British life and not negatively

No you do not , as the form clearly states bankruptcy not IVA

I know what you saying but this IVA comes under the same insolvency act 1986. This is where i am confused.

Thanks for bearing me but can understand my position....

Yes but you must give details of all civil judgements made against you I.e. county court judgement. If you have an iva you may have a ccj you can check to see if you have any Ccjs on the ccj register.
