Validity of COA?

Post by nadsul » Sun Feb 24, 2013 7:39 am

I applied for EEA4 in sept and got COA with right to work but it almost more than 5 months now while my current RC had also expired on 15/02 and as per forum i can see a lot of sept applications are still pending.
Now, my q's is that i have alrweady updated my HR dept about COA, but will they consider it for only 6 months from the time of application submission or it will "valid" till my applicatiion decided by UKBA and i will continue my work by law.
Please respond to this query and especially the guru's. Thx

After 6 months applicant can carry on work till they received back their passports.if any one call that number which is mentioned on COA then they normally sent a letter for further 12 months right to work through e mail to the employer not to the applicant.

Legally they must finalize the application within 6 months but most often they spend more time. After 6 months you can call them to inquire about the current status of your application but in the meanwhile just carry on doing your job. If your employer has any doubt then they can call to UKBA employer helpline.
Please donot send PM. Write in open forum to facilitate others too.
