Schengen visa to Spain

Hi,
I will be applying for a Schengen visa to visit Spain at the end of May. I went on-line to book an appointment but I am not sure if I should select the business or tourism option. I will be employed by a UK company to work as a carer for an individual who is going on holiday in Spain. I will have time off to do the tourist things and will not be doing any business with Spanish companies.

So which option should I select tourism or business ?

Well, if you are paid by the British company I think there is no need to apply fpr a business visa. Also, the holiday won't be that long I guess?

The type of appointment will be based on the purpose of visit such as tourism, visit, study, work etc.
