IMO, You should mention the date of your first entry to UK, as the question does not ask u about your stay on tier 1 visa. It asks you about your total time period in UK.cisco3181 wrote:Hi All,
This could be a silly question and you can shoot me down, but I want to confirm.
I am applying for ILR using SET(O). I am confused by this question -
7.11. how long have you lived in the UK?
I first came to UK in September 2007 on work-permit dependent. Then I got my tier-1 in August 2008 and I am applying for ILR based on tier-1.
So technically if I calculate my time in UK including work permit dependent, then it is 5 years 10 months. While just on Tier-1, it is 4 years 11 months and 5 days on the day of application.
So, my question is , what should I write in the form.
Regards
I also came in 2007 (October) on a work permit and then changed to Tier 2 general. I was going to put October 2007, since the only reason I changed to a Tier 2 was because I started with a new employer (same job) and work permit was no longer a viable option in 2011. It's about how long you've lived in the UK (as qualifiying for ILR). This is my impression.cisco3181 wrote:Hi All,
