You are the shareholder of company. Not only salary but all the expenses you did for running a company before Company has any income will be investment in the company.

For new company there will be many expenses, ie Furniture, Computers, Visting cards, advert etc because company do not have any income, share holders invest in the company to run to the stage where it can bear all its expenses.

Until then all the expenses will be investment but need to be careful as UKBA might get confused with all these and will seek more info.

So best policy should be spend less before ur visa is sorted out.
