Only if that person is a member of British Computer Society (BCS).

See list of acceptable professional persons here.

CCNA is not a Professional Qualification

Post by VR » Sat Sep 28, 2013 8:00 am

CCNA is a Certification. You can use him as one of the referees if he is above 25years old and British.

Why dont you get somebody else even if its a commonwealth citizen as the professional referee?

If he is an IT Manager holding a perm job in a limited company I believe it should be fine.
cheers

Yes

It is strange. BCS is a Rudimentary It cert compared to the CCNA. The problem is these lists would have been compiled in the 80's as can be seen from the list of recognised professions.

LANs and WANs came into the scene with the advent of the Internet in the 90's and with them the numerous certifications which are more tough than the BCS. Not sure when they will revise these lists.
cheers

Did she give you the actual royal mail sticker with the code on or did she write the code down? If they latter, contact them and make sure you were given the correct code.

When checking the tracking at www.thedx.co.uk - leave out the "DX" as well as the first 3 numbers of the provided tracking number.

Therefore - only insert the last 9 digits of the tracking number you were given at the NCS appointment.
