Applying for ILR

Post by thomas24 » Sat Dec 21, 2013 3:01 am

Hi,

Since 04/03/2009 my abesences have been 160 days without 90 days or more in a row. However my most recent one has been for work and I've been gone since
09/10/2013 and I will be away until like the 02/02/2014 so almost 4 months at one time. I have payslips to show that I've been paid by my UK employer as I have been away on business, sorting out property investment.

Q.1 Will I still be able to get ILR?

Q.2 I'll fly on the 02/02/2014 and have a return ticket for the 04/03/2009 - will immigration still allow me in?

Q.3 Can I book a same day ILR service? When should I book this? (like how much time do I need to book it)

The reply to your query could run into dozens of pages, unless you reveal the immigration category you are in.

I'm on UK Ancestry :)

And this is my last absence until ILR I'll be away around 4 months this time (due to my UK employer).

Every other absence has been less than 3 months too up to this one.

So long as absences are <180 days per 12 month period there shouldn't be an issue.

One other thing, I'm returning to the UK a month before my Ancestry visa expires, should I have a return ticket? I'm applying for ILR.

Will that be okay?
