EU1 Application - Documents returned but no stamp4

Post by jinkazama_11 » Tue Dec 31, 2013 6:36 pm

Hi
Today I have received the documents back with a Letter from INIS EU treaty rights section.
Letter simply confirms that
1. your application is received and they are returning our original documents.
2. We should inform them of any change in circumstances and new supporting documentation should be submitted where appropriate.

Letter does not
a)- mention a date for final decision.
b)- No indication of going to INIS to get the temp stamp 4.
c)- No request made to send the documents I was unable to submit with the application. The only documents I was unable to submit were PRTB letters and my second payslip.

Is this normal a normal practice? anyone got the similar letter? I was under the impression that if application is acceptable then they issue temp stamp 4.

Thanks

They will most probably send you another letter, possibly with the documents.

Ah! Sorry mis read that. Urm, we got it with our documents. Our letter stated when the decision is due and also a request for some docs. They might send it to you separately.

I got letter from INIS for stamp 4 dated 30th Dec. We have to go to local garda station to get the residence card and stamp 4. I rang Garda today and immigration officer told me that they haven't received their letter yet and she can't do anything unless she receives the letter.
Its already 3 weeks since the letter was issued. Does it really takes that long for INIS to send the letter to Garda? I think they just send one letter to you and one to your Garda station.
Is it worth writing to EU Treaty Rights section?
Is it possible to go to Dublin office rather than my Local Garda station for RC and stamp 4.
Thanks

I'm not sure what the process is for going to the local one but we never asked garda in Dublin, we just went. If you are in a rush, you could go to the Dublin one. Just call up an confirm though.

What about calling the number which is on your letter and tell them that the Garda has refused to give you an appointment as they said they haven't received the letter. This is really silly...it shouldn't take that long to send out such letters.

Or email the EUTR section and give them your details.

Oh dear! Maybe try again and just make sure that they know the garda office hasn't received the letter. When you're on the phone with them ask if the garda office really need to wait for a letter from INIS, or if your letter would be enough. Ask them if they are able to call the garda office. This is a major inconvenience. Push INIS.

I have sent an email to Garda main office. Lets see what they have to say. They should receive the letter within 3 weeks.
