Turkey to Bulgaria without Schengen visa

Does anyone know if it is possible for a British national with a third country national spouse, to leave Turkey by walking accross the border into Bulgaria and getting a Schengen visa stamped into your passport on the Bulgarian side?

It is possible to enter Bulgaria as you describe, but you won't get a Schengen stamp unless you enter a Schengen country.
