HSMP approval in 5 working Days

Post by PinkFloyd » Mon May 14, 2007 10:11 am

Ppl!

I got my HSMP approval letter today. The amazing part is that the decision was taken in just 5 working days. I owe it to this great forum. It helped me learn the art of nitpicking :-) . The experienced shared by one and all got me my approval.

Here are my timelines...

Applied from Bangalore, India.
Documents sent: 25 April 2007 by UPS.
Recieved by HO: 27 April.
CC charged : 27 April.
Decision Taken: 3rd May.
Documents dispatched by HO through Air - mail : 8th May
Documents recieved: 14 May.

Points claimed: 85
Education: 35 (BE degree from VTU, belgaum)
Past Earnings: 45
Age: 10 points

Documets:
Degree certificate
Saral Form
Copy of Form 16
A notoraised copy of India Tax Act as an evidence to support exceptional consideration for Tax year not covering the period claimed.

Letter from HR
Salary Slips
Bank Account statements
Gross Salary Letter

printout from oanda.org to get the conversion rate.

Birth Certificate

ELTS report.

I got the approval letter but it does not state the points awarded. The letter says application is approved and the next step to be taken. Is that all or am I missing something?

Thanx a lot once again.

I took a photo copy from the Income Tax Act book(This can be done at the PR office of Income Tax department) and got it notorised. I also substantiated it by providing the web links for relevant section. The link collectively determine the Tax period.

Hope This helps...

PinkFloyd
Congrats on your approval.

Yes, my letter too did not state the points awarded, just what needs to be done next, so don't worry about it.

Hi Pink Flyod,

Congratulations on HSMP approval letter.

I am planning to apply from Bangalore in the next 2/3 weeks. Did you happen to apply through a HSMP Consultant/ Agent? or Could you provide me with anyone who can help in this regard?

Thanks,
Sathish. :)

Hi Twisha,

I am sorry I dont have access to scanner these days, so I cant supply you with soft copies. But this is what I did. Using the link you get the page, Chapter and Act Number for the relevant section. Using these, get hold of a copy of Tax Act (Itz ubiquitous, any person remotely connected with finance will have it), Photo stat the pages and get it notorised by a lawyer. But dont forget to add the contact information about the notorising officer when you make the application.

Hope this helps...

Thanx A&C.... That was last of all the worries :-)

jnasir, The address is in the guidelines for courier delivery

"Applications sent by Courier
If you wish to send your application by
Courier, the delivery address is:
Immigration & Nationality Directorate
Work Permits (UK) HSMP
7th floor
Fountain Precinct
Balm Green
Sheffield
S1 2JA "

Sathish, I did not avail the service of an agent or consultant. I used this forum and think it has all the information needed to make a successful application. I have no information about the consultants and their merits. You can google them out, I am sure there are lotz.

success rate for hsmp visa

Post by save » Wed May 16, 2007 8:44 am

Hi,

Also planning to apply for HSMP visa. Can any of you advise if any of you are aware of the chances of getting the visa if all criteria are fulfilled and documentation is complete & correct. Is there any further subjectivity factor to it.
