Two Biometric Letters have been posted

Hi All !

Just wanted to give update upon my case.

I have sent fresh application. Got Biometric letter on 16th of Jan. But to my surprize I have got another letter on 17th of jan. and this time the first page of the letter was a bit different to the letter sent on 16th Jan. the letter sent on 17th jan was also a signed delivery. and the first page was in bullet points and saying your case going to be processed within 8 weeks time unless you have not got one of the following reasons. and the reason were criminal convictions etc.

My question is that is it a normal thing to get this kind of letter now adays. Or is it a unsusal thing that happend to me.

I got the same 2 letters but stapled and delivered together. maybe they forgot to attach the second letter and decided to post it the next day. I dont think there is anything to worry about.
I applied 13th jan.

I applied on the 8th, got biometrics letter on the 13 but I didn't get anything with 8 week wording which you mentioned above. Just fyi.

@misskin . Sumtimes they took longer just to verify documents. And it depends upon other govt agencies or departments to respond ukba. Thats why it took a bit longer for ukba to take decsion.

thanks Aadiji. Does the fact that I didn't get the letter with the 8 week wording necessarily mean that my case is going to take longer? it is possible that i may take less than 8 weeks. I guess I'll wait and see. But I've noticed a lot of people who make fresh applications get approval within 3-4 weeks.

Oh no, I received 2 letters today, both sent on separate dates and separate envelopes: one saying that the case will be processed within 8 weeks and the other saying although the cases are normally processed within 8 weeks time, it won't be possible in my case due to further checks. I don't have a good feeling about this.

Has it already been 8 weeks since you have sent your case?

@Adjiji, no it has only be 3 weeks since I submitted my application. Maybe I'm getting this letter because I have a dependant husband? I don't know. Who knows.
