Yes it is "British Computer Society" professional body to register when you are applying in IT sector.

BCS as far as I know is not a trading body and has nothing to do with running an IT or a Software company. In my view its membership can help only if you do not have a degree in computing and want to get into such business. What is your perspective on this ?
