My wife is surrendering her passport and wants to apply for an OCI once she has the certificate
Just reading through the VFS info page and it says:
All applicants who have had a name change after acquiring British or any other nationality should fill in the surrender form using the name mentioned on their last/valid Indian Passport. Applicant should also be aware that the surrender certificate will be issued on the name mentioned of their ‘surrendered’ Indian Passport.
Now my wifes Indian passport has Kaur as her surname but on her British passport it has Kaur as the middle name and our family name as the surname.
I understand the surrender certificate will be in the name of Kaur
Will this cause problems when we apply for the OCI?
