Which indian visa is most appropriate after gaining BC

I have recently got british passport and have surrendered my indian passport. I have to travel to India in about 1 month so I want to apply for OCI after i come back. I just wanted to know what is the best short term Visa to apply for India visit? It isnt very clear from the VFS website. It will be good to know from someone who has gone through similar process?

You can choose either Tourist or Long Term Entry

Thanks very much for your reply ban.s. Can you or someone else here give me an idea how long it takes to get the 5 year long term visa? I couldnt fund a thread for application timelines for this visa.

Visas normally take few days only.
As you plan to apply for OCI after your return you may wish to apply for tourist visa as it will cost less.
