Post by i.need.help » Wed Nov 05, 2014 1:11 am

…..Need to meet financial requirements? She doesn't work or study, she is a housewife.

This part confuses me…..
Information about your finances and employment

I am a British citizen and I am exempt from meeting financial requirements as I am receive DLA benefit.

Also will calling cards be ok to show that we communicate?

If someone can reply ASAP, that will be great so that we can Apply for the visa ASAP, thanks.

IF you are on DLA you will be exempted from the 18600 requirement. But you will need to show that there is sufficient resource to ensure your wife is not a burden on the UK's resources.

You will also need to demonstrate a genuine relationship.

Can I apply for my wife's visa online at https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk or does my wife need to apply herself?

I know I am exempt, but does this mean my wife is also automatically exempt? So my wife doesn't need to meet any separate financial requirements?

The relationship is genuine but it's too expensive to call Pakistan direct from a landline so I use calling cards or viber.

Yes. You can apply for her on line, pay the fee and then send docs to her to lodge applications with Gerry's in Pakistan

They are not bothered about what the applicant does or nor no do for a living

Yes this fine, but calling cards are no proof that you used them to call your wife. Viber, Whasapp or FB are better

I believe documents have to be sent to Sheffield Now.

I agree that calling card would be rejected in its entirety.

Screenshots from Viber or Whatsapp will be much more better.

You should have met your wife aswell.

I have been taking screenshots of viber but I only have got 1 months worth.. Will it be enough? I got married in April. So it's only been about 6 months since I was with my wife in Pakistan.

Plus my wife didn't have wifi/internet previously.

Will it be ok to send 1 months viber calls?

Will 6 months statements from May to October be accepted? Or do I need to delay and wait for Novembers statement to come later this month?

The last bank statement shouldn't be more than 28 days old.

Where's Amber gone? She used to reply fast and didn't skip questions.

Still awaiting for replies.

Amber is busy. There's no point in any of us answering questions that we aren't 100% sure of the answer. You'll need to be patient.
