Application for Naturalisation

Post by harv » Tue Apr 07, 2015 6:57 pm

Hi All

I know this might be a stupid question but just wanted to make sure everything is covered before I make the application.

1) I am British Citizen
2) Wife came to the UK in March 2012
3) She got her ILR in Feb 2014
4) I am now filling in the Naturalisation form for her and just wondering if I am missing anything
a) Completed Application form
b) Her certified passport copy and ILR Card
c) My certified passport copy
d) She has done IELTS and LIUK during ILR process, including these as well
e) Referee i) Company Director friend of mine who has know my wife from the day she came here ii) Our Neighbour

I am planning to apply through the NCS at my local Council (Hillingdon). However I am not sure whether I should go through NCS or through a different channel, so need your help on this.

I would appreciate if someone please confirm if I am missing anything and how should I apply.

Thanks in advance

She needs marriage certificate too and original passports (your and hers) and original ILR BRP card.

You can only apply through NCS or postal. NCS copies your docs and gives all originals back. Postal you have to send originals.

My advice would be to use NCS, the small fee is worth it.

Make sure that she was physically present exactly 3 years ago on the date HO receives her application. It is an automatic refusal if she was out of the UK, even on holuday.

Thanks CR001

Yes I forgot to mention Marriage Certificate, that's also ready.

I will apply through NCS, I am not worried about the money just need it stress free and quick.

She came to the UK on the 24th of March 2012, so passes that requirement.

Once again thanks a lot for confirming and your help.

Hi

I got the appointment at my local council for Tuesday next week.

Just want to double check one more point.

My daughter was born 6 months ago, at the time of her birth I held a British passport and her mother had already received her ILR as well.

My understanding is that she is British by birth and only needs to apply for a passport when required. Please correct me if I am wrong or if I need to do anything to include her my wife's naturalisation application.
