General visitor visa approved for 136 days

Post by karteek.chandu » Thu Apr 16, 2015 1:09 pm

Hi,

I am on Tier-1(General visa) until 12/02/2016.

My in-laws are applied for visitor visa on 31/03/2015 with date of planned arrival in UK 20/05/2015 and period of intend to stay in UK- 6 months(In travel information section of their application),they have provided the BritishAirways Itinerary with return dates(20/05/2015 to 14/11/2015) along with their application, I have given sponsorship letter with my passport and visa, They received their passports with the following visa validity for 136 days

Valid from : 20/05/2015
Until : 02/10/2015

According to their application, they could have approved visa for 6 months from 20/05/2015, they haven't received any letter from British Deputy High Commission regarding approval of 136 days instead of 6 months.

Please suggest me what can they do for visa validity changes(6 months from 20/05/2015) before their departure

Thank you in advance.

Contact the british high commission about the error and ask them to rectify it.

I may be wrong but can you confirm if the visitor's passport doesn't expire on the visa expiry date?
