Minimum income threshold

Post by Andrewbird35 » Tue May 19, 2015 9:11 am

Surprised to know there' is now minimum income threshold for EU nationals from March 2014 to retain worker status.
Although it' is for to eligible to apply benefits but wondering are there any impacts on applicants who apply RC or PRs.
Because in the forum someone has been refused due to not earning enough money as a self employeed
Could please share your experience and knowledge, esp.gurus and EU law experts.
Minimum income threshold set by department of work and pension is £149/week.

You should wait a bit more because on this forum members are working voluntarily to help others but to feed themselves and their families do full time jobs and need rest as well. If you have off day or on holidays then try to happily spend it and someone would definitely answer you.

That was only but mainly introduced by the UK benefits authorities as a measure to tightened the benefit system for EU national and the same now few caseworkers might be following too in order to determine as whether the employment is an effective and genuine activity. But EU directive will definitely not be backing up it at the moment, therefore, any refusal on these grounds will certainly be illegal.
