Tier 2 and ILR - 2016

Post by asif2133 » Fri Oct 09, 2015 6:02 pm

Dear friends,

i need to understand the new rules for settlement on Tier 2 visa. so from april, 2016, anyone who completed 5 years on tier 2 and want to apply for ILR need to have an annual salary of £35000.

my question is, if i worked for a sponsor on tier 2 for 5 years on say £30000, but after 5 years i change my sponsor and get another job that pays 35000 pounds, can i apply for ILR as soon as i get the new Tier 2 visa on the new job with a salary of £35k.

sounds a bit complex but i am sure many will be in a similar position like me.

thanks
