Student to Naturalisation Application

Post by buddieshouse3399 » Sun Dec 20, 2015 9:30 pm

Hi All,

Hope all are well.

I need your assistance regarding naturalisation application.

My sister came to UK in 2007 on student visa.(worked more than 20 hours per week on many occasions).
In 2010 switched to Tier 1 dependent (entry clearance visa was granted from home country).
ILR was granted in Feb 2015.

Now in Feb 2016 she intend to apply for Nutralisation.

My question is: will the extra hours and income during her student visa period effect her naturalization.

Will there be any issues in getting nutralisation approved ?

Any assistance will be highly appreciated.

Regards

Yes. If they find out. To deceive or not to deceive, that is the question.

No. They will not find out. All you need is to get employment history from hmrc to cover the years. If they happen to call you for interview, you let them know your pay rate is high and your hours is 20 hours. But they will not find out. Just make sure everything else is okay.

I would be careful with following allenboo's advice.

If citizenship is obtained by deception or fraud, it can be revoked and it is one of the few cases that it can be revoked even if it makes the person stateless.

Probably best to wait until 2020, 10 years from when she initially entered as a Tier 1 dependant.

As well as the 'good character' checks that HO will carry out there is the legally binding Declaration the applicant has to sign; ie vouching for their application.

Do a subject access request to HTC and see what you can find. I believed students are allowed to work full time during holiday period.

Hi all,

Is there much difference between employment history, record retrieval and subject access request from HMRC?

Does they all contain different level of details in them?

thanks
