Supporting docs arrived but no decision

Post by Ishjon » Wed Jan 20, 2016 12:27 pm

Dear Forum members,
Thanks to all for your invaluable advices. I just had a question, my solicitor wrote to me telling that he had received all the supporting docs from HO but no decision letter. Is that normal? Does decision letters are sent separately? Can someone with this experience let me know please. I'm really nervous don't know if it's approval or refusal.

Thanks

There should be a letter in there that says its successful or not. Approval letter comes days after.

Thanks for your reply. No apparently there isn't any letter its just please find your supporting documents. Does this mean it's not approved? Very worried now

Approval letter is usually sent separately to supporting documents.

Your lawyer may be drunk when he opened the envelop. There should be a letter saying they do not need to see the documents again and that your application has been successful or refused. Like i said, letter of approval comes separately

Thanks for your replies. I have called him again and he said there is no letter at all and that he expects to recieve a decision in couple of days. CR001 do you think its normal that there is no letter at all with supporting docs?

No, it is not unusual.

My supporting documents and my letter came separately, on different days.

Thanks for confirming. It a bit relieved. If it's normal than I don't have to worry before receiving actua letter. I was thinking it's just in my case there is no letter at all with the supporting documents. Will update as soon as i het the letter.
