Post by Jay4965 » Mon Jan 25, 2016 1:11 am

Hi,

Does this new £35,000 rules regarding tier 2 also affect 10 years route of settlement. Please kindly advise if anyone has any knowledge about this.

No......35k requirement is for tier 2 migrant route to settlement.
Where as 10 yr Long residence route is the combination of two or more visas.

Correct.

Do you have a spouse in the UK on a Tier 2 dependent visa? Their clock will reset and s/he will have to switch to FLR(M) if you apply for ILR based on 10 year Long Residence.
