Dutch national and UK benefits

Post by Watandar » Mon Feb 15, 2016 9:08 pm

Hi everyone,

My mother is 60 years old and she is a Dutch national. She is not working in Holland because of her health condition. She is on benefits in Holland. Because of her poor health condition i would like for her to move to the UK so me and my wife can look after her. If she comes to the UK does she qualify for benefits?

Does anyone know an organization who can give me info regarding above?

Thank you for your assistance.

You could start here:

Do you support your mother in any way (financially/emotionally) at this time?
Does she have assets?
Other than benefits how does she support herself?

Hi thank you for your reply. I help her by buying her airline tickets so she can come and visit me atleast 3 or 4 times a year. Further I try to skype with her every day so she doesnt feel lonely at home. Is there any (charity) organization in Scotland to help me out what the possibilities are to bring my mom to Scotland?
