About email information?

I sent HSMP application form on 8/11/07 and received reference number by e-mail on 12/11/07.
I missed a letter on 17/11/07 and will collect it on 18/11/07.
Anyone here know what the letter could be about?
Does HO Email the information as to if the decision has been made before send a letter?

No point speculating - just wait and see.

The HO sends an email reference number and the documents are returned by post after a decision has been taken.

Generally decision will be made in one day if the application is straight forward and Royal mail takes 5-6 days to reach Indian cities. So, it could well be your decision letter. Cheers
