how old the bank statement can be

My parents are applying for visit visa second time (again for 6 months). I sent my bank statement by post as I am inviting them. Can anyone let me know how old can my bank statement could be? By the time I sent statement from UK the 28 days passed so please let me know can the bank statement be over 28 days?

No the latest one must be within the last month
