Visit Visa Experience from Pakistan OR from any where else ?

Hi All,

I have applied visit visa for my parents from Pakistan in Jan 2016. Six months had passed and it's now July 2016 but still no reply from INIS. I have contacted INIS so many times but got the same standard reply that we will get back to you in due course.

On INIS website it's clearly stated that "You can expect a decision in 8 weeks after the application is received by the Irish Visa Office, Embassy or Consulate you sent it to".

Anyone else applied for visit visa from Pakistan or from any where else and are on the same boat ?

Just to update, there are members who are waiting for there parents application response for nearly a year now.

@ Hamza2013 - Thanks for your reply but my parents visa is only a 3 month C-Visit category. It shouldn't take over 6 months.

that very unfortunate but they are really slow

Is it visit visa for 3 months ?

What is your status ? Irish passport holder or on any visa ?

Is that for your parents / spouse / brother / sister ?

Did you ever tried to contact INIS ? If yes, what response do you get ?

Finally my parents visa is approved.

Time line ie below:

Visa type: C-visit 3 month:
Applied from: Islamabad
Applied on: Jan 2106.
Approval: Aug 2016
Relation: They are my parents and I am Irish citizen living here with my family and in full time employment.

Guys don't you think it's an absolute joke that for a 3 months visit visa you have to wait 7 months

I still haven't got a reply cat c visit visa for my husband. Applied sept 2015 recieved in INIS Oct 11th !
