Old BRP Card not returned after New Visa Stamping.

Hello Everyone,

Recently I had applied for new tier 2 General Visa and got it granted today.

I've found out that my old BRP Card (Expired 3 months back) was not in the pack of returned documents. I'm just curious to know if UKVI keeps the expired BRP cards with them..?

It isn't returned to you. It is superceded by your new visa.

Was this your Visa Extension if yes, can you please tell me what documents did you show them

I had a PBS dependent Visa until 31st may 2016. Now, I've got a fresh Tier 2 Visa. This in not a case of visa extension.
