Graduate Accountant For Tier 2.*Urgent.DesperatelyNeedHelp.

Hi Guys,

I need a help urgently please. Can my employer used the code 2431 to sponsor me even if i am not a qualified accountant yet. I have my BSc In finance and doing MSc Finance.

The job description fit me but i dont know if the employer can used the 2431 code as its says qualified accountant.

i want to make sure the firm can used this code.

please can anyone help me please

No, not if you're not qualified as a professional.

The SOC is for fully qualified chartered or certified accountants only. The job title "company accountant" does not exclude the requirement to be fully qualified.
There is a good few small to medium sponsors out there that have either been refused a licence or subsequently had their licence revoked for the use of this SOC for unqualified individuals.

2431 is architect.
I believe you meant 2421. As a trainee ICAEW chartered accountant I have been since 2013 on 2421:Chartered and certified accountants and this has never been an issue.

All accountancy firms will use this for their trainees.

And any Sponsor issuing a COS under that SOC for a trainee accountant is in breach of their Sponsor Duties.
