HM Passprt- Text message

Post by tierone_extension » Thu Sep 15, 2016 5:38 pm

Hi,
We (2 adults and 1 child) applied Naturalization + Passport application in June 2016. waiting for approval letters
Today got a Text message from HM Passport saying that 'You should receive your new pp within few days'

I think this is for my child (as child won't have ceremony/Interview)
Now the query is if i get Passport for my child, what to do with the existing BRP cad, and if i need to return to HO, what is the address pls?
Do i need to wait for the reg. certificate or send the BRP card immly?

Many Thanks,

Child's Certificate will likely be given to you when you attend the ceremony.

Google would have given you the address.

Send BRP card back, it is of no use to you anymore.

Hi,

I also got this message last week and surprise, I got my daughter's passport today. http://www.immigrationboards.com/postin ... 2&t=216487#

I(Tier1 5 years + ILR 1 year) and my daughter(Born in India, has ILR )applied under JCAP in last week of June 2016.

We got her passport today, will we get any naturalization certificate as well for her?

Also shall I wait for her/mine naturalization certificate before returning her/mine BRP?

Regards,
Hussain

I called the HO after the same happened in our case, and the telephone executive advised me to wait till the registration certificate is received to send the BRP back - in her words "just to ensure everything is in order". So, I'd advise you to do the same (albeit availability of Passport is an indication that your daughter's case has passed all necessary steps).

Adult Naturalization certificate after child passport

Post by tierone_extension » Wed Sep 21, 2016 5:24 pm

Hello,
Myself, wife and daughter have applied for Naturalization and passport (5 year Tier 1+ 1 year ILR) via NCS in mid June. We have got the Biometrics done on the second of July and last week, my daughter's British passport arrived.
Any one passed the same situation, could you please inform anyone how many days it will take my wife and I get our Naturalisation certificate please?

Many Thanks,

As explained above adults receive certificates at ceremony; wait for ceremony.

There are rare circumstances where it might be relevant, e.g. disputing an NHS invoice for treatment as an overseas visitor.

Hello noajthan,
Thanks for your information.
I think my explanation was not correct.
My scenario is: i did not get Naturalization approval letter from HO, once i receive the approval letter, then i shall book for ceremony
Now the situation is i have got my daughter's passport last week and myself and wife yet o receive Naturalization approval letter and asking how many days it will time after child passport pls

Thanks,

There's no rule of thumb, just a case of wait and see.

I would imagine that it's similar to JoeLawerence2's situation.
