biometric letter not recieved

I applied on 7th of October for Tier 1 Entrepreneur through my lawyer. I have not even received my biometric enrolment letter yet. How long usually does it take to receive biometric enrolment letter?

Some time they do take a bit longer however when they deduct the payment?

I don't know about that, I need to ask him. I gave the application fee to my lawyer and he then wrote a cheque for HO.

I am in the same boat i guess. i applied on 5th oct. application was received on 6th oct. Fee was deducted on 7th oct but still I havent even received the acknowledgement letter or even biometric letter.

You gave the application fee to your lawyer?I could bet your lawyer filled the application form for you. Are you sure your application had even been posted, or posted when it ought to? I'll advise you to check from YOUR LAWYER if he had really sent the application through, as 3 weeks is getting too long to receive a biometric or the money being deducted. My own opinion though

Cheque clearance take a bit of time, what I have seen in business that when any customer gives a cheque, it takes 7 to 10 working to be cleared depending upon bank. I think due to this it is taking long, however better to check from lawyer again.

Just checked with my lawyer. The cheque was cleared on 14th. I also tracked my application with royal mail and it was delivered on 10th. So my lawyer has sent my application. I also trust my lawyer that's why i gave him the application fee. They are one of the largest law firms in London with revenue of £6m, according to companies house filings so I don''t think they are trying to steal my £1204.

I think HO is just too busy and slow.

Similar situation.
I applied on the 14th of October (Friday), switching from Tier 1 GE,
Application received on the 17th (Monday),
Fee deducted on the 18th,
Still haven't received an acknowledgement letter / biometric enrollment request.
Last year (extending my T1GE) I received them within several days.

I think you should receive your biometric this week as I applied a week earlier than you.
Please keep this forum updated throughout your application process. We are in the same situation.
Did you apply by yourself or did you use a lawyer?

I applied by myself and prepared the application / documents myself. I'm sure a lawyer would help a lot, but I felt more in control of my application this way.

An update. Acknowledgement letter dated 29th October received today.
