Switch from Tier 1 Entrepreneur to Tier 2 General

Hi,

I am currently on a T1 Entrepreneur visa and am looking to switch to a Tier 2 General visa.

I wanted to know:

1) if I am allowed to do this
2) what documents I have to show
3) and do I need to meet the T1 extension criteria?

If anyone has successfully done this your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick response Vinny I have gone through the entire guidance doc but I havent come across this, its a rather grey area and I am worried if the HO can use that as grounds for refusal.

I don't think that you have to satisfy 245DD, if you are not applying for leave to remain as a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) migrant. However, you may have to satisfy the conditions of grant under 245DC or 245DE, as appropriate, while you are under Tier 1 (Entrepreneur).

I have successfully switched from T1 Ent to T2 General.

Since I was on T1 Ent, I was a director of a Company. I did not resign from the post till my visa was approved.
I used premium service and got the approval letter on the same day.

Employer had to conduct a RLMT Test and issue a CoS.
Form filled online and documents submitted were :
- Application Form
- Passports and Photos.
- IHS receipt (£600)

I did not have to prove English requirement as I had already met that when I applied for Tier 1 Ent visa.
I did not prove maintenance as my sponsor had mentioned it in the Cos.

Could you please let me know:

1)How recent this was? So I know if there are any changes since you applied.

2)Also what questions were asked about your Tier 1 Ent visa and what documents you provided? (I am looking to make an in person application too)

I have currently paid all my corp taxes and income/NI taxes correctly and in time, and have submitted the accounts accordingly.

I just want to know how much they look into the previous visa because I had some trouble obtaining my Tier 1 Entrepreneurs visa in the first instance.

2. No questions asked regarding T1 Ent during my application.

Employer had to conduct a RLMT Test and issue a CoS. The job was advertised on Universal Jobmatch site and on a recruitment agencies website for one month.
Form filled online and documents submitted were :
- Application Form
- Passports and Photos.
- IHS receipt (£600)

can you please tell me how long your tier 1 entrepreneur visa was left before u switched to tier 2? and also
which pcs (premium service centre ) u went for ur tier 2? pls reply asap as iam in same boat.
