Speeding Non-custodial conviction spent time

Post by imranali55 » Sun Apr 16, 2017 1:04 pm

Hi,

I was caught speeding, 34miles/hr in 20miles zone, on 14th August 2014 but given 5 Points and £165 fine on 15th January 2015. I have Permanent Residence since July 2016. As I understand that I will have to wait 3 years for this offence to be spent.

My question is whether this offence will be considered spent in August 2017 or January 2018?

Many thanks

January 2018. You also declare the offence.

Hi Imran,

Casa has given you an answer but just for my sake, were you given these points and fine from the court or was it a FPN?

This is just for my learning and I will really appreciate your response.
Thanks
