OCI

Post by checkmate1984 » Tue Jun 27, 2017 3:05 pm

Hi all

My wife was born in India then left India for Kenya and had kenyan passport. Her only proof of birth in India is birth certificate.

She recently well 2 years ago became British citizen.

I have OCI since 2010.

My question is does she gets OCI based on me or separate her self from her birth certificate?
Also what would her native address be? is it indian one or kenyan?

Going for the OCI based on you might be the easier options with regards to the documentation. Having said that, she can do it on her own but will have to prove that she was eligible to become India citizen post 1950.
Life's too short .. Take it easy !
