Schengen visa query

Hi i have a query about schengen visa. I have schengen visa which mention type c and on bottom mentioned Fimiliar UE/EEE/SUIZA.Whats this mean. Can i travel alone on that visa or my family have to travel with me. I m planning to go to schengen states for couple of days wih my friends.
Please help me out.
