Received a call from Home Office

Post by londonukguy » Sun Oct 22, 2017 11:32 pm

Hello members
I applied spouse visa for my wife and daughter
In end of April
There was no correspondence at all
No not straight forward mail
No on hold mail
No 31 Oct mail
Case escalated on 19/09/2017
On Friday 20/10/2017 received call from home office from a private number
First they called our company office and asked receptionist about Director and they were given director's number
Then she called to director for almost 20 minutes
Then after 15 minutes called me on my mobile and asked similar questions
Call disconnected 4 times from her side
And she called again
Sound was friendly not bully/rude as I was expecting.
Questions were
Name
Date of birth
Wife's name
Date of birth etc
Date of marriage
When started job
How did find the job
When was interviewed
Director is your relative
Your wife is relative of director
Office address
Nature of job
Describe the building
Duty days and hours
Annual salary and exact monthly salary
How get paid
Any commission or bonus
Sales target
Relevant qualifications of job
Job designation
Are you at work now
When did you last worked
When will you work next
Do you work Saturdays
Do you work Sundays
How many total employees
What was your strengths to get this job
Can't remember couple of others
Almost everything matched with directors answered
Director was asked company registration number,VAT number and name of all employees in addition.
I would like to ask is this good sign or bad?
What would happen next?
Any idea and experiences please
Thanks

Thanks for sharing! In my opinion, this is a good sign since HO is checking all the information. It would have been much worse if they simply rejected the application. As long as you answered all the questions genuinely and correctly, there is nothing to worry about.

Was you application priority or standard?

Maximum 6 to 10 week they give you visa.
Most of applicant doesn't know the value of accommodation.

Which city you live in uk.

If London than 3 beds means 2000 pounds RENT per month.

If you live out side London than is ok .
Because rent is cheap. Like 500 pounds.

You have to show geniune accommodation.
Like you live alone in house 3 bed .
Do you put single occupancy 25% discount letter from council tax.
How you get house from letting AGENT. Or PRIVATE
Do you show deposit protection letter.
These thing shows that accommodation is geniune

They take six month because they generate inquiries regarding your case.

Because you have one DAUGHTER you need separate accommodation.

Six month is too much time cal them email them they usually charge 1.37 per minute.

And ask why you late they take maximum 12 week.

To show rental agreement and bills is not enough.
They can find through credit search that how many people live in property .
If you live London than to afford 3 beds means you earn 50k.

I'm outside of London and my rent is £510/month for whole house
It's genuine let from an egenncy
Yes have 1 person discount
Rent and council tax goes direct from my account
My monthly pay is almost£1605 after tax
Called and email them many times and same answer awaiting decision
There are plenty of people who is waiting even more than 6 months
Anymore expert opinion please

After almost one month of job verification call and over 6 months in total I received an email link from home office to pay child IHS fee.
It has been paid straight away
Is it a good sign?
Roughly how long would it take more time for decision?
Any idea and experience.

They will probably call him back another time if they still require more information.

Did you apply with 2 jobs and is your job a well known company?

Post your timeline so we can get an idea.
