Spouse Visa Application - Email for Update

Post by kmb786 » Tue Jan 30, 2018 12:26 pm

Hi,

Applicant applied for settlement (spouse visa) online on 5/1/18 as a PRIORITY service from Lahore.

Biometrics taken on 08/01/2018 and documents forwarded to UKVI (Sheffield) on 09/01/2018

Phone Interview by UKVI to Sponsor in UK was held on 16/01/2018

Applicant received an email on 22/01/18 stating that the application has been passed on to ECO to make a decison.

Therefore, as we have not heard anything since and this is a Priority application, can someone please confirm that who can make an application tracking update enquiry to the UKVI - i.e. can the Sponsor (UK) send the email or does the Applicant (Pakistan) send and pay for the email?

Thank you.

I think we can just wait it's waiting game.
We can't track as tracking website has been disabled since 12th December 2017.

I too, am in the same position.

Online application: 22/12/17
Biometrics: 29/12/17

Your biometrics were taken on the 08/01/18 which means as of today, it has only been 16 days. They aim to process priority applications with 30 working days from date of biometrics.

I would say save the £5 odd that they charge for an email and give it until the 30th working day to chase up. TBH, they'd really only say to you that the application is awaiting a decision.

I'm on the 21st working day now, also paid priority and going to give it till next week to chase.

Good luck!

My spouse applied in December have done biometrics on 18/12 after that haven't heard anything from home office even we paid priority as well. I called my solicitor and asked him if he contact home office and chase them he said its normal home office taking longer than before to make decisions. Today exactly 30 working days after biometrics but no joy 😂
We are waiting desperately for the outcome let's see this waiting time is really killing me.

£5 for the email when we enquire?
how we pay £5?

Members may want to consider that colour block highlighting makes it almost impossible to read.
