British Citizenship Eligibility

Dear Members,

Need some advice on behalf of a family friend who lives and are Cyprus nationals. There Grandmother used to work for the United Nations and British army in London and was granted british nationality but then she left and resided in Cyprus and the kids never got a chance to claim it.
Any chance for the kids who are over 30's to claim British citizenship??
