Birth certificate returned, Naturalisation

Certified copy of my birth cert was returned when received the second stage letter. Is that a normal procedure?

It didn't happen to my partner. We never received any of his documents back.

Maybe email them and ask (citizenshipinfo@justice.ie)? It might save time later in case they write to you saying that they haven't got it!

It's a delay tactic, send it back to them. They have no reason to return it. Its only a copy. They will request it later to delay you further.
