points

Post by VP » Tue Dec 14, 2004 11:56 am

yes they have awarded me a full 50 points. before they have not given any point ie 0 points for experience. I have clearly mentioned in review letter that i am having 8 years of graduate experience and handling more than 30 colleagues.

so i got following points

5 - under 28
15 - qualification
50 - graduate experience of more than 8 years

thanks

Well done VP,
it is almost none believable that they award 50 points after awarding 0.

It seems that your review request so very consistent and professional.

Could you please tell us what was the reason you mentioned in your letter that made them correct the decision? And was it a long letter?

At the time of application i have submitted newspaper cuttings in which it is mentioned that i am responsibile for HR activities of my department
review letter is not a lengthy , just 1 page and few para. i have clearly mentioned in review letter that i am responsible for all hr activity of my department and it requires special skill and it is graduate level experience only

thats it they have awarded me 50 points

Congrats VP. Nice work. It must have been difficult going thru this review from Oct to Dec.

Comgratulations VP and all the best

Just out of curiousity, you did not claim any points for earnings? I was wondering how succesful people are who claim 50 points for expierence and not claiming any for earnings. I would have thought its more difficult to get the approval. Many congratulations again :)

congrats VP, it was quite a tall order to think hsmp will award the 50 points! but there u go... like mwazir has said, it's quite curious no point was claimed for earnings but again it's a question of if it meets or crosses the threshold anyway... wishing u all the best in your EC and new life...pls keep us posted!

Paid or Unpaid appeal

Post by Raj Singh » Tue Dec 14, 2004 7:24 pm

I would like to know did u send paid appeal or unpaid?
What is the procedure of review request?
Do u know who dealt ur review case a manager or a case worker ?

i have send only review request (not paid appeal). You have to send a normal letter through courier or even you can do fax to HO.

i am not sure who dealt it but it is not the same case worker who take my decision earlier

Hi mwazir,

I am also having a similar case. Such cases come under non-managerial specialist positions, I suppose. I have claimed 50 points for my fifteen years technical expertise but zero points for the earnings criteria. and 15 points for the International published work. In my application for HSMP I have tried to convince the HSMP officer that my skill set are very much in demand in UK but in my home country My salary is not upto the mark, that is why I am looking for green pastures of the west and want to come if given a chance.

Well I am not into IT.

I dont know whether I will also be successful or not.

Your comments please mwazir.. & others experiences
