Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur visa - Wrong expiry date?

Post by voda93 » Thu Apr 19, 2018 8:39 am

Hey guys,

I recently applied for my Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur visa and it was approved for a year.

(1) My offer letter says I have permission to be in the UK from 23 Feb 2018 to 23 Feb 2019. However, I realized that the dates they printed for me may be wrong.

In my T1GE visa vignette (sticker), it wrote valid from 23 Feb 2018 to 25 Mar 2018. I realised that this may be the 30-day expiry date from which I need to enter the country, but there is no other indication of visa length in my passport or any indication of the Feb 2019 anywhere.

This is confusing because my previous student visa vignette (sticker) wrote it was valid from X Aug 2014 to X Oct 2017.

(2) Second question - I saw that some people under T1 GE visa need to register with the police, but there is no such indication in my visa - does this mean I don't have to apply with the police at all? For others under T1 GE - do you always have to register with the police?

1. The vignette is only for you to enter the UK. You must collect your BRP card once you enter the UK usually from a post office branch.
Check your letter again :!:

2. Police registration is mandatory only for certain nationalities

Thank you, very helpful!

(1) Yes, I have my BRP now and collected it as per the instructions.
(2) Roger that - I was worried about that. Thanks!
