UK Ancestry Visa

Post by BajegalLex » Sat May 26, 2018 1:32 pm

My grandmother left Barbados in 1961 for the UK during the windrush era. My mother was born in 1960 in Barbados. My grandmother submitted her citzenship papers in 1971 and listed my mother's name as a dependent on the documents. Given that Barbados was still a colony at that time and my grandmother left for UK before independence, would I qualify for a UK ancestry visa? The majority of my family lives in the UK.

The requirement for an Ancestry visa is that your grandparent must have been BORN in the UK.
