working while Apply for Retention

I'm wondering after submitting retention application EU5, are we eligible to work??

as long your gnib is valid can work make sure u update with immigration

I think that's when you don't inform to your employer, suppose if you inform them and they want anything from department stating you are eligible to work, in that case will department give in written or via email that you are eligible to work? I just want to know what is in retention law??

Keep your work out of this.

You are eligible to work as long as your permit is valid.

If you want to involve your employer in this . Well good luck because you will never get a letter saying that you can work or not .

I don't think department should create issue, as per EU5 leaflet. 'Under Regulation 12(4) of the Regulations, an applicant retaining a residence card following the death of the EU citizen or the divorce, annulment or dissolution of a marriage or civil partnership with an EU citizen, who is subsequently seeking a permanent residence card (Form EU3), must be engaged in one of the following activities.'

but still I'm making sure and searching more.
