More than 6 years in UK - CITIZENSHIP

Post by jjjbonsu » Wed Nov 07, 2018 9:34 am

Help Please - Am a family member of EEA National. We got married on 01/06/2012, then I applied for my residence card, after which I applied for a permanent residence (PR). However, I applied for my permanent residence status late and got my Biometric Permanent Residence on 02/02/2018. I would like to apply for naturalization or citizenship but am confused. Even-though, have been legally living here ( 01/06/2012 TO NOW- more than 6 years), have only held my permanent residence status for just 10 months, Can I still apply for Citizenship or do I need to wait until have held the permanent residence for 12 months?

Did you get a letter with your PR stating the date you attained PR? It will be a different date to what is on your BRP card.

What was your immigration history before you got marred in 2012??
