Naturalisation acknowledgement

Post by Smiggy » Thu Nov 08, 2018 12:08 pm

Hello everyone.

We attended an appointment with our Local Authority to make use of their Checking Service. This was on the 29th of October.

Do you get an acknowledgement e-mail/letter from the Home Office after attending the appointment, or is the only one you get is after submission of the online application?

You should get a letter but it usually takes a couple of weeks.

Hi,
We did not get any letter after appointment. Only acknowledgement was for application submission.

Hi all ,

I have applied for naturalisation through old paper based method ( EXISTING SERVICE - STANDARD SERVICE) on 9/1/2019 . and sent all the original documents via royal mail next day delivery to homeoffice . they have recieved the documents (as seen in the royal mail signatory). But i have no more acknowledgement from home office. is it routine ? all originals like passoort .p60 and driving licence are there with them . should I contact them or leave for 6 months!!
any suggestion is appreciated.

The only thing you should receive is an acknowledgement email with a case id number.
I received mine on the next working day after application submission (before I had a chance to enrol my biometrics and send the evidence by post).

Have you checked your email?

Hi Everyone

I've applied via ncs on 28th December, home office received my application on 2nd January 2019. Still no email confirming case I'd and payment haven't taken yet.

Can you please share the email address where you received acknowledgement with case I'd.

I have gone through spam also but can't find any email from them .

Dear Hioru . Thanks for email .You are so nice, respond immediately .

I got similar emails. though I applied for 3 applicants (Me and one adult dependant and one child ), i recieved two emails with only two Case ID: 2476xxxx from <hocommunications@communications.homeoffice.gov.uk> on next working day , before I could send apaplications and Biometric registration.
which means exactly same as your case .

I have few questions though >
1. i the main applicant didnt get any Case ID (May be childs' means same as mine )
2. I have sent my hard copies including passport after this date .No ackonwledgment of hard copy recieving info so far .
3. Should I talk to them , if so how to contact them?

Best regards
shiva

Dear Philipgp
I thought following could be the reason why you didint recieve such email ... me and Hioru appalied on paper method and send physical passport and documens via post . Not via NCS like . this is my guess for the reason.

Best regards and all the best :)

Ah sorry! I thought he was also applying the same way we did (online - but posting evidence).

In the case of NCS, you philipgp19 might have to wait weeks until they physically go through your letter and notify you of the case id, which they might do via a letter I'm not sure in this case.

Hi Shi and Hioru,

Thank you very much for keeping in touch and sharing your experiences.

I've applied via NCS. My application was postal too but I got my originals as you've sent your originals.

Luckily after month, they have taken my payment yesterday and I have received email confirming my case I'd.
Now I am waiting for biometrics letter. Hopefully by the end of this week.

So yeah good luck everyone and keep in touch. Safe
