BRP Reutrn after Ceremony?

Hi all,

I was wondering if we are supposed to return our BRP after ceremony? I have read about it in this forum and have heard the same thing from friends in the past. However, there is no information provided to me anywhere through any formal channel...I am wondering if that is still required? I had the citizenship ceremony recently and the leaflets I was given in addition to my certificate were related to getting a passport...

You would have or should have received a leaflet or letter stating about returning your BRP card and where to send it.

It is still required to be sent back within 5 days after attending your ceremony.

Note this is for ILR BRP cards not PR under the EU rules.

I did not make any effort and was expecting someone to tell me during citizenship ceremony or have a leaflet during the citizenship ceremony telling me that...

Anyway, I just opened the letter from home office (invitation to book for ceremony) and it actually says towards the end (on the second page..) that I should return the BRP (it doesn't mention the 5 working days part though)..
