Post by she777 » Tue Dec 11, 2018 8:03 am

Thank you CR001 for starting this thread. I've been following this forum since April of this year and this has been my source of strength and inspiration since then.

I am one of those people you got rejected in April 2018 due to Rcos allocation cap and my prospective employer back then decided not to resubmit. It was one of the saddest and frustrating times that had happened to me this year but I had moved on and continue to believe and pursue my dream to land a job in the UK.

Fortunately, I found a new prospective employer under NHS in August. But then, here we go again, still struggling to get an RCOS. They applied in September, but October and November allocation had passed but still didn't get any decision from the Home Office.

HR told me that the status in the SMS is "pending" and no one contacted them for any additional documents/information.

I've read from the October 2018 thread that some of our forum mates have the same scenario as mine. So this give me a relief to know that I'm not alone. But still, I can't help but to wonder why.

Btw, I'm on a developer post, so HR told me they applied my Rcos under Shortage Occupation List (2135 IT business analysts, architects and systems designers.) So I believe I have 140 points.

I thought, having a higher points have a greater chance to get RCOS approval but looks like it's not always the case.

I'm still keeping my faith. We will all get through this.

Another exciting weeks ahead :)

P.S Apologies for a very long message and thank you in advance for any information that you can share with the group.

Hi Gurus,

Is the result for December 2018 is not yet released or delayed ?. Because, I have checked with my HR and he told me that there is no update yet in application and I am not seeing anyone reported any delay or successful approval.

I am little bit worried hence, I already booked by flight ticket by end of this Month.

Thanks in advance on any information.

Congratulations to all who got their RCOS approved this week! All the best in the future! :D

Is it possible to not get any decision from the Home office for more than 3 months and the RCOS application has been on a pending status without hearing anything from them?

Whenever I follow up with my employer, HR always telling me they are still waiting for the decision to come from the home office. Is there any hotline number or email address where we can make a follow up to know the status instead of just waiting for an update?
